7 Recirculation Pump
This fixed displacement, gear type pump is used to constantly
re-circulate the oil in the reservoir through the no. 9 filter and no. 10
heat exchanger. The maximum pressure at the pump outlet port is
limited by the no. 8 relief valve. This valve should not be set above the
maximum pressure ratings of the filter and heat exchanger.
No. 7 Pump
8 Relief Valve
This valve is used to limit the pressure at the outlet port of the no. 7
recirculation pump. If the no. 10 heat exchanger becomes
contaminated or the oil is too cold, pressure will build until the setting
of this relief valve is reached. The valve will then open and port the
pump volume back to the pump inlet. The valve is located on the gear
pump.
