No. 3 P.M. Winder Power Supply and Rider Roll
schedule can be determined based on the results of regular oil
sampling and analysis. If the element plugs up and the inlet pressure
reaches the setting of the internal check valve, oil will bypass the
element.
No. 3 Filter
4 Return Filter
The oil that exhausts out of the directional valves’ tank lines is ported
through this filter before returning back to the tank. The element’s
condition should be checked regularly by observing the visual
indicator. The element should be changed on a regular scheduled
basis. This schedule can be established by an oil analysis program.
If the element plugs up and the inlet pressure reaches the internal
check valve’s setting, dirty oil will bypass the element.
5 Accumulator
This piston type accumulator is used to supply an additional volume
of oil to the no. 3 P.M. Winder system as necessary for operating at
fast speed. The accumulator should be pre-charged with nitrogen to
the manufacturers recommended setting.
